Born in Belgium in 1983, tennis player Kim Clijsters made her professional debut in 1999. She became the top-ranked player in the world in 2003, and in 2005 she won her first Grand Slam singles championship at the U.S.

7. Sania Mirza
Sania Mirza began playing tennis since the age of 6, turning professional in 2003. She was trained by her father. She won 10 singles and 13 doubles titles as a junior player. She represents India with pride and we love her never-ending spirit.

Anna Kournikova is a retired professional Russian tennis player and model. Although she never won a “singles” tournament, her celebrity image made her one of the best-known tennis players in the world.

Sabine Katharina Lisicki is a German professional tennis player. She turned professional in 2006 and her breakthrough came in 2009 when she reached the quarterfinals of the Wimbledon Championships and won her first WTA title.

Alizé Cornet is a French tennis player. On 16 February 2009, she reached her best singles ranking of world no. 11. In 2014, Cornet became known for defeating the World no. 1 Serena Williams on three occasions. At the Dubai Tennis Championships, she recorded a straight-set win over Williams in the semifinals, which resulted in Cornet’s accession to her biggest final in almost six years.

Eugenie “Genie” Bouchard is a Canadian professional tennis player. Bouchard is Canada’s highest-ranked women’s singles player, currently ranked 59th in the World Rankings.

20. Victoria Azarenka
